An 18-wheeler was involved in a crash on the Houston Avenue Bridge early this morning. The incident occurred at about 3:15 a.m.
Officials say that the crash occurred when an 18-wheeler drove into the Houston Avenue Bridge near I-10 and U.S. 45. The impact caused the semi-truck to lose its load, which appeared to be some metal machinery.
Two of the road’s lanes were blocked off for several hours as cleanup crews worked to clear the roadways and remove the debris. The road fully reopened at about 7 a.m. this morning.
It is still unclear as to what circumstances led up to the crash. No injuries have been reported.
