A multi-vehicle crash involving two 18-wheelers in Texas City. The crash occurred yesterday morning, at the 2900 block of the Gulf Freeway at FM 1765 in Texas City.

Police state that the accident occurred at about 10 a.m. yesterday morning. They are still working to uncover what led to the incident. Details on potential injuries have not been made available.

The northbound lanes of the Gulf Freeway were closed as Texas City first responders investigated the scene of the accident and worked to remove the 18-wheelers from the site of the crash. The freeway was backed up for several miles for a few hours as officials worked to investigate the accident. The Department of Transportation also reported that hazmat crews were on the scene working to clear the roads.
