One person was injured after a truck crash on Sunday evening after a truck drove into a north Houston church on Sunday evening. The incident occurred at Calvary Pentecostal Church of God, located on Tidwell Road and Irvington Boulevard in, at about 7:45 p.m.

The pastor of the church reported that their evening service had just ended when the truck struck the building and entered via the eastern wall. It came close to hitting several children, but did not strike anyone.

At the time of the truck crash, there were about 15-20 people in the north Houston church. One person in the congregation was hit by a falling brick, but is expected to recover. The passenger of the truck was impaled by a pole, and was taken to a nearby hospital. They remain in unknown condition.

Police state that another vehicle was involved in the crash, but the driver left the scene.
