Two Dead, Two Injured after Crash in Snook, Texas

Two people have been pronounced dead and another two have been seriously injured after a high-speed chase that resulted in a deadly crash yesterday in Snook, Texas, in Burleson County.

The crash occurred at about 1:20 p.m. yesterday, on Main Street in Snook, Texas. A state trooper had pulled over a teen boy driving a 2007 BMW for a traffic stop. The driver fled the scene, driving onto County Road 269 to evade law enforcement. The chase ended when the driver lost control of the vehicle, striking a tree.

Police state that there were four people in the vehicle. The two passengers in the backseat, a 16-year-old man and a 17-year-old woman, were pronounced dead at the scene. The driver, an 18-year-old man, and front-seat passenger, a 17-year-old woman, were severely injured, and were both transported from the scene of the crash in Snook to St. Joseph Health Regional Hospital in Bryan, Texas via helicopter.

There is an ongoing criminal investigation.
