Two adults have died and a child has been seriously injured in an accident involving a speeding tow truck. The accident took place on Sunday, on the northwest side of Houston near Willowbrook.

At about 9:15 p.m., authorities got the call about an accident that occurred due to a tow truck that had been speeding southbound on Gessner Road striking a grey Toyota Corolla. The Corolla was driving northbound on north Gessner when they attempted to turn west on Loyel Pointe Drive.

The tow truck struck the passenger side of the vehicle. The driver, a 57-year-old woman, and a backseat passenger, a young man, were pronounced dead at the scene. A 12-year-old girl, sitting in the passenger seat, was transported to Memorial Hermann in critical condition.

The tow truck driver, a 29-year-old man, was also transported to a nearby hospital with minor injuries, where he is reported to be in stable condition. Deputies reported that the driver had been speeding at the time of the deadly collision. They state that there appeared to be no signs of intoxication.
