A crash involving two 18-wheelers, one car, and a box truck has left three people dead in Fort Bend County. The Fort Bend County Sheriff’s Office reported that the collision occurred around noon yesterday morning in Beasley, Texas.

The incident was caused by a vehicle driving on Vincik Ehlert Road running a stop sign where the road intersects with FM 360. As the car entered the intersection of Vincik Ehlert Road and FM 360, an 18-wheeler heading southbound on FM 360 struck the car. The car was then struck by a box truck traveling northbound on FM 360.

The 18-wheeler then lost control of the tractor-trailer, swerving into oncoming traffic and striking another 18-wheeler that was driving northbound on FM 360. The 18-wheelers collided head-on in the crash and caught on fire, leaving the Fort Bend County intersection closed for close to nine hours.

The two passengers of the at-fault vehicle were both ejected from the car and died at the scene. The driver of the first 18-wheeler was able to exit the vehicle, was ambulatory at the scene, and was transported to Memorial Hermann Sugarland Hospital. The driver of the second 18-wheeler was pronounced dead at the scene of the collision.
