A wheelchair-bound pedestrian has died after being struck and killed by several vehicles in northwest Houston. The incident occurred early this morning, at around 6 A.M., near the 800 block of FM 1960.

The pedestrian was attempting to cross FM 1960 at the time of the accident. As he attempted to cross the street, he was struck by a white vehicle. The force of the impact flung the pedestrian onto the other side of the road, where he was then struck by another two vehicles in oncoming traffic.

Police state that the driver of the white Dodge vehicle that struck and killed the pedestrian in northwest Houston fled the scene. The other two drivers stayed to render aid. The pedestrian was pronounced dead at the scene.

A woman whose vehicle matched the description of the driver involved in the hit and run is being questioned, and police are working to access any nearby surveillance video.
