A crash in Missouri City earlier this morning has left at least one person dead.

The crash occurred this morning in Missouri City, on U.S. Highway 90 on the southbound lanes near Cravens Road. Authorities responded to the scene at around 9:30 a.m.

Police state that a silver sedan became mangled underneath a Penske moving truck. It is unclear how the accident happened. Responders are still working to uncover the details of what took place during the fatal wreck.

The crash was pronounced fatal, with Houston Police confirming there was at least one fatality. Responders immediately blocked all of the southbound lanes on U.S. 90, and they are still blocked as of 2:30 p.m. this afternoon. Police are urging drivers to find an alternate route.
