Two people have died and two others were injured following a truck crash outside of a Jack in the Box in La Marque, Texas. The accident occurred Saturday afternoon at about 4:30 p.m., at the Jack in the Box on FM 1765.

La Marque officials state that at the time of the crash, a pickup truck was driving eastbound on FM 1765 at high speeds. While driving through a curve, the driver lost control of the vehicle, and the truck side-swiped another car, crossed the median, and flipped, landing on another vehicle in the Jack in the Box drive through.

The driver and passenger of the truck that flipped were both seriously injured and were pronounced dead at the scene of the crash. The two people in the vehicle that the truck landed on suffered non-life-threatening injuries, and were checked out at a nearby hospital.

Officials believe that speeding on rain-slick roads was the cause of the collision, though they are continuing to investigate.
