Sixteen people, thirteen of which were children, were injured following a bus crash on the northeast side of Houston. The accident occurred on Sunday, at about 12:30 p.m., at an apartment complex at Uvalde Road, near Wallisville Road.

Officials state that the crash occurred when the bus attempted to make a left turn into an apartment complex on the northeast side of Houston. Witnesses report that the bust was traveling at a high rate of speed, which may have contributed to the bus overturning.

There were 16 people on board at the time—13 children and three adults. The children ranged in age from 1 to 16. Most of the passengers were transported to a nearby hospital, and one person was reported to be in critical condition.
