Over 25 years ago, Michael Callahan left his engineering career to pursue the practice of law. He jumped in head first – taking on piles of cases and learning as much as he could about each one. But Michael quickly realized that he wanted to practice law differently. He longed to truly know the people he was fighting for. He needed to hear their stories and understand their experiences so he could paint a picture the jury could understand and connect with. This meant taking on a shorter stack of cases and honing in on one area of practice that he could continue to develop deeper and deeper expertise in.

Today, Michael uses his curiosity and skill to fight for people whose lives have been forever altered by tragic or traumatic events. Because Michael is passionate about helping people get back on their feet, he works on a percentage fee basis (translation: if you don’t get paid, neither does he).

The Methodology Behind His Practice

It’s about digging into the tragedy and the circumstance that changed a client’s life trajectory forever and tapping into an unwavering curiosity to uncover the details; to discover the entirety of a case that expands beyond the moment of impact.

In short, it’s about giving a damn.

Michael Callahan is an involved faculty member of the Trial Lawyers’ College which is dedicated to educating and training lawyers who are committed to the jury system and to representing and obtaining justice for the individual.

Outside of his legal career, Michael enjoys spending time with his wife of eighteen years and their daughter. He loves to travel, stay physically active, and is constantly learning and exploring.
